The Studio

Pratiksha Paudel works under the name Mountain Child. She draws in soft pastel — a medium of almost pure pigment that sits on the surface of the paper and catches light like dust in a sunbeam.

Her subjects are the things that make a person feel small in the best way: mountains at night, skies on fire, the sea at the end of the day — and, sometimes, a face so full of joy it fills the whole sheet.
